Data Retention Policy
1. Introduction
1.1 This policy describes the data types that A N Construction Solution Limited processes, the purpose of the data collection and the retention limits associated with it which are based on legal and industry standards.

2.1 Personal Data – Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

2.3 Retention Period – How long the data is to be held for.
2.4 Legal Basis – The legal reason that the data is processed.

3.1 All personal data A N Construction processes is within scope of this policy, including data of employees and that of our customers.
3.2 This policy is made available to all within the scope and to Third Parties upon request.
3.3 A N Construction are the Controllers of the information listed within this Policy.
4. Retention Periods
A N Construction are committed to ensuring that our organisation is compliant with the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR) and to ensure that the data we process is retained in line with legal and industry standards and not retained for longer than is necessary. We will delete data when it reaches its retention period. Below are the data types which A N Construction processes and how long we will retain it for, we also signify our purpose and legal basis for processing these data types and the category of personal data in which they fall.
4.1 Employee Data – Category “Personal Data”
Including, but not limited to, name, address, contact number, date of birth, work history, driving licence, next of kin, CSCS cards, training and qualifications.
- We collect this data to confirm the identity of our employees
- We collect this data to ensure safe working and that they are adequately trained
- We collect this data in case of an accident or emergency
- The Legal basis for retention is for safe completion of the contract
- Records will be retained for 40 years after employment
4.2 Employee Banking Information – Category “Personal Data”
- We collect this data in order to pay Employees
- The Legal basis for retention is for completion of the contract
- Records are retained and maintained on the banking system
- Written records provided by individuals may be within the Employee file and managed with section 4.1 above
4.3 Employee Health and Injury Information – Category “Special Personal Data”
Including, but not limited to, work place injuries, personal injuries, and ongoing health problems.
- We collect this data to ensure safe working for individuals
- The Legal basis for retention is that we are legally required to ensure an individual’s safety and for completion of the contract
- Records will be retained for 40 years after employment
4.4 Business Persons Contact Data – Category “Personal Data”
Including, but not limited to, name, address, contact number, and work history.
- We collect this data to maintain contact with our customers and suppliers
- The Legal basis for retention is for safe completion of the contract
- Records will be retained for as long as an individual remains with the relevant customer/supplier
